YMKSM Foundation
The YMKSM Foundation, Kate Daley from Travel Beyond, and Carnival Cruise Lines have partnered together to offer a reasonably priced, fund raising, 4 night Western Caribbean cruise. Carnival Cruise Lines has a matching funds program where they will match the funds raised by a non-profit organization such as the YMKSM Foundation.
This is how it works. Carnival will match (donate) up to $5 per guest, per day on behalf of YMKSM Foundation’s fundraising efforts. A 4 day cruise would be $20 per guest. The YMKSM Foundation marks up the 4 day cruise fare by $20 per person. This $20 is your personal donation to The YMKSM Foundation. Carnival then matches $20 per person. The YMKSM Foundation gets a total of $40 per person. If 100 people take the cruise, the YMKSM Foundation gets $4000 for their fund raising efforts. You pay a little more for your cabin which benefits the YMKSM Foundation, but it is a cause you believe in and support. You get to cruise with fellow Krewe members, meet and make new friends and the YMKSM Foundation raises funds for its supported charities. It is a win-win situation for the YMKSM Foundation and the people that support the YMKSM Foundation.
