The Good Life Games, Inc.
The Good Life Games, Kate Daley from Travel Beyond, and Carnival Cruise Lines have partnered together to offer a reasonably priced, fund raising, 5 night Western Caribbean cruise. Carnival Cruise Lines has a matching funds program where they will match the funds raised by a non-profit organization such as GLG.
This is how it works. Carnival will match (donate) up to $5 per guest, per day on behalf of GLG’s fundraising efforts. A 5 day cruise would be $25 per guest. The GLG organization marks up the 5 day cruise fare by $25 per person. This $25 is your personal donation to GLG. Carnival then matches $25 per person. GLG gets a total of $50 per person. If 100 people take the cruise, GLG gets $5000 for their fund raising efforts. You pay a little more for your cabin which benefits GLG, but it is a cause you believe in and support. You get to cruise with people of similar life styles and meet and make new friends. GLG raises funds for the 2007 games. It is a win-win situation for the GLG and the people that support the games.
